Day 99: Varnish and oar locks

Round 6 of the varnish. Starting to get the hang of it.
The boat is looking pretty cute.
Used a razor blade to pick up the varnish that had escaped the gunwale.

Notice the blade is bent.  I learned this trick on youtube from an auto paint guy with a sweet mullet.

The textured areas are looking a lot better after a second coat of paint.  Some areas aren't perfect but I'm calling it good anyhow.
Polished up the cobra oarlocks.  Started at 100 grit and worked up to 2000 then some roten stone powder.  They could still use some buffing but they're not bad for now.

The lock on the left is the original; center is after the 100 grit; right is finished.
